Freedom to Create

Launched in 2008, the Freedom to Create Prize is a celebration of the courage and creativity of artists, and the positive influence of their work to promote social justice and inspire the human spirit. The Prize is open to all forms of art, in any creative field and to any individual or group of any gender, religion or nationality. Arturo was commended for the main prize in 2010.

Guggenheim Fellowship

in its eighty-fifth annual competition for the United States and Canada the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation awarded 180 Fellowships to artists, scientists, and scholars. The successful candidates were chosen from a group of almost 3,000 applicants.
